Program Beneficiary

For the first time the Attorney General’s Office opened its doors to the public so that citizens may better understand the role of the office and how it works with the Ministry of the Interior, the police, and the courts on a daily basis.

USAID has open for the public and cordially invites to visit the offices of the Ministry of Planning to see a photo exhibition, a representative sample of our development cooperation in Paraguay.

Through photographs, visitors can learn about the different USAID’s supported programs in Paraguay, its actors and impact.
 


The Paraguay Threshold Program closed its activities after two years of hard work from 12 institutions and the participation of the 3 branches of the Government of Paraguay. Many key results were highlighted during the event in Asunción.

Until recently, the remote city of Capitán Bado did not have a medical laboratory to perform analyses in the public health center. Now the situation has changed.

 The USAID/Paraguay Health Decentralization and Community Participation Project was launched more than 10 years ago.  The project built and developed innovative solutions to improve the management of the health services through the regional and local health councils.

Janina Campuzano is a young mother in Paraguay who tells of her experience as a beneficiary of the free family planning options now available in public hospitals.

 

The Government of the United States is convinced that the Laboratory will help the Government of Paraguay to have more effective investigations and strengthen the citizens’ confidence in justice, were the words of Ambassador James Thessin during the inauguration.

Rural farmers in Paraguay are having great success selling their passion fruit through farming associations to a leading corporate juice brand. This is thanks to USAID's support through Paraguay Productivo, a program that connects small farmers with private sector buyers.

As often happens when public health specialist Maria Peña visits a local hospital, she comes upon a woman who is struggling to adjust to her new role as mother of the tiny baby now in her care.

The community of Aguaray Seco, population 750 in San Pedro Department did not have a potable water system in operation. Now this system is a reality that benefits approximately 150 families.
